Liverpool’s efforts to sign a contract with one of the names nominated to succeed Egyptian star Mohamed Salah suffered a severe blow, after Paris Saint-Germain entered forcefully into the deal.
Salah had officially left Liverpool a few days ago, after playing his last match with the team at the end of the last season of the English Premier League.
Liverpool’s name is linked to a number of players to compensate for Salah’s departure from Anfield, despite the difficulty of the task, including Leipzig player Yann Diomandy.
According to the French “Foot Mercato” network, Paris Saint-Germain reached an agreement with Diomande regarding his possible move to “Parc des Princes” during the summer transfer period.
The network explained that the player does not show great enthusiasm for moving to Bayern Munich, and is also inclined to the idea of playing for Liverpool, but at the same time he gave his approval to the Parisian club.
The decision remains linked to Paris Saint-Germain’s ability to reach an agreement with Leipzig regarding the value of the deal, in light of reports indicating that the player’s price may reach 120 million euros.
