Reports circulating on social media platforms claimed that Portuguese legend Cristiano Ronaldo, captain of Al-Nasr, modified the data of his accounts on social media platforms, especially “Instagram” and “X”.

The Al-Nasr captain was subjected to widespread criticism recently, after Al-Alamy lost the AFC Champions League 2 title to Gamba Osaka with an unanswered goal.

Al-Nasr lost the continental final in its home stadium and among its fans, despite entering the match as the most prominent candidate for the coronation, in light of its possession of a group of international stars, led by Ronaldo, who failed to lead the team towards returning to the Asian podiums.

The controversy increased after the match, when Ronaldo quickly left the field after the final whistle and refused to be with his teammates during the ceremony to receive the silver medals for second place, which sparked a widespread wave of criticism among the fans and the media.

A new controversy arose today, after those circulating this news claimed that the Portuguese star deleted the reference to being a player in Al-Nasr from his official accounts, and replaced it with an assertion that the account was his official account.

However, after verifying the matter, a number of followers confirmed that Ronaldo did not originally include the phrase “Al-Nasr player” in the definition of his accounts until he deleted them, and that his accounts are still full of pictures of him wearing the “Al-Alamy” shirt.

The latest photos published by the player showed him in a happy state alongside his coach, Jorge Jesus, which reinforces the hypothesis that there is no crisis between him and the club, and confirms the falsity of the allegations circulating.

Ronaldo is expected to lead Al-Nasr against Damak, on Thursday evening, at Al-Awal Park, in the 34th and final round of the Saudi Roshan League.

The Portuguese star needs to lead his team to victory in order to officially clinch the league title, without waiting for the result of the other confrontation between Al Hilal and Al Fayhaa, which is being held at the same time.

Since joining Al-Nassr in December 2023 as a free transfer from Manchester United, Ronaldo has not succeeded in achieving any official title with Al-Alamy, with the exception of the Arab Championship in the summer of 2023. (Erm News)
