Google continues to facilitate file sharing between Android and iPhone phones. It announced during its annual developers conference that compatibility between the “Quick Share” feature in Android and “AirDrop” in iPhone phones will soon reach more phones from OnePlus, Oppo, and Honor.

Google provided support for compatibility between “Quick Share” and “AirDrop” for the first time with the Pixel 10 series last year, before it later expanded to the older “Pixel” phones, in addition to the Galaxy S26 series, and then to the Oppo Find X9 Ultra and Vivo X300 Ultra phones.

The feature currently supports the Pixel 8a and Oppo Find N6 phones, and Google has confirmed that it will soon reach several Samsung phones, including the Galaxy S25 and Galaxy S24 series, in addition to the Galaxy Z Fold7, Galaxy Z Flip7, Galaxy Z Fold6, and Galaxy Z TriFold.

On the other hand, Google plans to also offer the feature to the Oppo Find

The feature allows files to be transferred directly between Android phones and iPhones via the “Quick Share” and “AirDrop” features, which makes it easy to share photos, videos, and files without the need for external applications or cloud services.

In a related context, Google announced that Android phones that do not support the AirDrop feature on Apple devices, their owners will also be able to share files via the “Quick Share” feature, but through QR Codes. Selected files are uploaded securely to the cloud once the code is scanned, then sent via a special download link to Apple devices.
