The “WhatsApp” application is testing the new “Liquid Glass” interface in chat rooms, in an effort to give the user a more modern and smooth visual experience, inspired by this trend from the design language presented by “Apple” in the “iOS 26” system.

The new concept is based on the use of transparent glass elements and blur effects that interact dynamically with the backgrounds, adding depth and vitality to the interface. Among the most prominent changes expected is converting the message writing bar into a “floating” element, and adding transparency with light shadows to the top navigation bar.

Although experiments have begun, the feature is still limited to the beta versions, as the company works to ensure compatibility of the design with all parts of the application before officially launching it to all users, in a step described as the largest visual transformation in the history of the platform.
