The committee stressed the necessity of installing meters and issuing detailed invoices and schedules of feeding hours, preventing generator owners from stopping service without giving a prior written deadline of 3 months. An agreement was also made with the Public Prosecution of Appeal in the south to receive citizens’ complaints through police stations and take legal measures against violators.
For its part, the Ministry of Energy warned against including any illegal additions to the pricing, such as unregistered value-added tax, maintenance fees, or imposing additional amounts on solar energy users, calling on the Ministry of Economy and the Judiciary to tighten oversight and prosecution.
