The Public Administration Employees Association expressed its appreciation “for all the efforts of the Public Sector Associations, except that the Public Administration has a single legitimate representative, which is the administrative body elected on February 15, 2026, and which received a statement from the Ministry of Interior, as an explanation of what was issued about the lack of connection between the Public Sector Associations Association and the Public Administration Employees Association.”
The association explained in a statement issued by it that “any decision to strike in departments must be issued by the legitimate body that represents the administration, and the decision to strike is linked to the approval of the employees and cannot be imposed without consulting them. It will study all possible options in light of what is said about the inability to pay the 6 salaries, which were approved on 2/16/2026, and it will hold meetings with those concerned to clarify the matter before resorting to escalatory steps, as perhaps it is possible to reach a fair solution that will spare the country Additional paralysis after what the war caused.”
The Association also praised the initiative proposed by the President of the Republic regarding increasing the transportation allowance for employees and providing one-time social assistance, considering this as evidence of the President’s response “to the demands of employees issued by the Association’s administrative body.”
The association concluded by announcing, “The next step for the association is a sit-in on May 13, 2026, but that does not prevent new decisions from being issued according to the progress of the negotiations with those concerned.”
