His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, announced on Friday that the United Arab Emirates has won the honor of hosting the 2029 meetings of the World Bank Group and the International Monetary Fund, in the capital, Abu Dhabi.
Through his official account on the “X” platform, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid stated that this victory is evidence of the great confidence that the international community has in the UAE, confirms its strong financial position, and reflects the capabilities and competence of its people.
He also explained that “these global meetings, which include central bank governors and finance ministers from 190 countries, represent a major platform for formulating global financial stability policies and shaping the future of the international economy.”
His Highness concluded by saying: “I am proud of the UAE, its economic and financial cadres, its growing status, and the world’s confidence, which is becoming stronger day by day.”
