The Israeli army spokesman, “Avichai Adraee,” stated through his account on the “X” platform that the army forces affiliated with the Southern Command were able, during yesterday’s operations, to eliminate a person named “Muhammad Samir Muhammad Washah,” describing him as a central figure in the missile and weapons manufacturing department of the Hamas movement, and that he planned to launch attacks against the army forces stationed in the central Gaza Strip.
“Adraee” continued, explaining that “Washah” was involved throughout the war in producing drones, missiles, and other weapons, and had a role in transporting them within the Gaza Strip.
He also explained that “he was working under the cover of a correspondent for the Al Jazeera network,” considering that he exploited this cover to support operations against the army forces.
The spokesman stated that this person contributed to strengthening the capabilities of the Hamas movement, and represented a threat to the army forces, stressing that before carrying out the air strike, measures were taken to limit harm to civilians, and these measures included the use of precise munitions, continuous aerial surveillance, and reliance on accurate intelligence information.
