The Qatari authorities issued a decision suspending the immediate visa system for citizens of the Lebanese Republic, according to which all Lebanese travelers must obtain a prior entry visa from the Qatari side before traveling.
The competent sources reported that travelers can obtain an electronic visa through the official website “hayya.qa”, stressing the need to keep a paper copy of the visa approval to present at border crossing points.
The official authorities did not reveal the motives for this decision or the expected time period for its implementation, while directing commercial companies and airlines to inform Lebanese travelers of this change before the date of travel.
It should be noted that this measure includes a number of other countries in addition to Lebanon.
