The southern suburb is in danger again: Israel calls on its residents to leave immediately!

Avichay Adraee, spokesman for the Israeli army, sent an urgent warning through his account on the “X” platform to residents of the southern suburb of Beirut, specifically those living in the areas of Haret Hreik, Ghobeiry, Al-Laylaki, Hadath, Burj Al-Barajneh, Tahouitet Al-Ghadir, and Chiyah.

Adraee explained that the Israeli army “continues to operate and attack Hezbollah’s military infrastructure throughout the suburb with increasing force.”

He also stressed that the army “does not intend to harm the residents,” calling for “immediate evacuation for the sake of safety.”

This new Israeli warning comes in light of a field escalation that witnessed intense raids that targeted various areas in the south, especially Bint Jbeil and its suburbs, where ambulances and medical institutions were also targeted.

The Health Emergency Operations Center of the Ministry of Public Health had announced the targeting of an ambulance belonging to the Health Authority, which led to the death of a paramedic, in addition to the bombing of a store of medicines and medical supplies in Bint Jbeil Governmental Hospital and its complete burning. Information also reported that a health authority point inside the hospital was targeted at around 8:30 a.m., resulting in the death of two paramedics and the outbreak of a fire in the building.

These events sparked angry reactions and widespread official condemnations, as the Ministry of Health expressed its strong rejection of targeting the health sector, and considered these attacks a clear violation of international humanitarian law. International and Arab positions were also issued denouncing the targeting of journalists and medical teams, while calling for adherence to the rules of war and the protection of civilians and medical facilities.
