In the context of the ongoing confrontations, Hezbollah announced, through successive statements, the implementation of a series of military operations targeting Israeli army sites and gatherings in southern Lebanon and along the border.

According to what was stated in the statements, at 00:05 am on Friday, party members carried out a missile attack on a gathering of Israeli soldiers and vehicles in the Khallet al-Ain area in the town of Qantara. They then returned a few minutes later to launch a second attack on the same site, and the area of operations then expanded to include the town square and the vicinity of its cemetery in the early hours of dawn.

The party also pointed out the implementation of direct strikes with guided missiles targeting an advanced Israeli force in the Khallet al-Jiwar area, east of the town of Beit Lev, in addition to targeting a “Merkava” tank on the southwestern outskirts of the town of al-Bayyada, which led to direct casualties, as stated in the statements.

As part of field operations, the party announced the detonation of explosive devices with Israeli vehicles and soldiers in various areas, including the Taibe-Qantara road and the town of Deir Saryan, confirming direct casualties among the targeted forces.

The operations expanded to include more distant areas, as the party announced the targeting of settlements in northern Israel, including Kiryat Shmona, Margaliot, and Metulla, by launching missiles and assault marches, as part of what it described as a response to developments on the ground and previous warnings.

The party confirmed that these operations come in the context of the “ongoing confrontation,” noting that the clashes “are still continuing on more than one axis,” amid a noticeable escalation in the pace of operations on the southern front.
