“The Nationalist Party” criticizes the decision to expel the Iranian ambassador and warns against... "Mitotic pathway"

The “Syrian Social Nationalist Party – Mayor of Media” expressed in a statement its astonishment and astonishment at the decision of the Lebanese government, represented by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, to declare the Iranian ambassador persona non grata. The statement indicated that this decision “comes within a political path adopted by the government over the past year, seeking to turn Lebanon into an arena of internal tension and push it towards the brink of division, through policies that restrict the resistance and sow discord among the Lebanese.”

The party added: “The party clearly records that the country that expels the ambassador of a specific country, while maintaining diplomatic representation for countries that support Israel or are involved in attacks on the peoples of the region, is practicing a selective policy that lacks consistency, weakens the credibility of its sovereign position, and raises question marks about its criteria for identifying friends and adversaries.”

The party held “the President of the Republic and the Prime Minister fully responsible for this decision, and every other decision that puts Lebanon against the forces that confront Israel in Lebanon and the region,” considering that “this choice not only lacks wisdom, but is a destructive choice, opening the door to projects of fragmentation and division, and exposing the country to unprecedented existential risks.”

The party also praised “the position of Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri, who affirms his constant concern for Lebanon’s unity and the preservation of its relations with friendly and supportive countries,” stressing that “this position constitutes a basic political guarantee, in addition to the sovereign guarantee represented by the equation of the army, the people, and the resistance.”

At the conclusion of its statement, the “Syrian Social Nationalist Party” affirmed its adherence to Lebanon’s unity and sovereignty, and called for not implementing this decision or any other decision under the influence of external pressure. He urged the adoption of responsible national policies that maintain internal stability and protect the country from external challenges, instead of engaging in escalatory paths that serve Israel’s interests.
