Trump threatens to destroy a field "North" In response to Qatar

Amid escalating tensions in the region, US President Donald Trump issued a warning that the United States may have to destroy the entire Iranian gas field, South Pars, if Qatar’s energy facilities are subjected to a new attack.

In a post on the “Truth Social” platform, Trump explained that Israel launched a strong attack on a major facility in the South Pars gas field in Iran, as a response to the current events in the Middle East, adding that the strike targeted only a small part of the field.

He stressed that the United States had no prior knowledge of this attack, and stressed that the State of Qatar was not involved in any way and did not have any prior information about the operation.

Trump indicated that Iran was not aware of these facts, which led it – in his words – to attack part of the liquefied gas facility in Qatar without justification or justification.

The American President stressed that no further attacks will be carried out by Israel on this vital field unless Iran attacks Qatar again, warning that if this is repeated, the United States, whether with or without Israel’s help, will destroy the entire South Pars field with a force that Iran has never witnessed before.

Trump added that he does not want to allow this level of violence and destruction because of its long-term effects on the future of Iran, but he stressed that he will not hesitate to make this decision if the Qatari gas facilities are subjected to a new attack.

This escalation comes in the wake of an attack targeting the South Pars field, which is considered the largest gas field in the world and represents the basic pillar of the energy system in Iran. According to a report published by the Financial Times, the strike is the first direct targeting of Iranian energy infrastructure since the beginning of the war in late February, which sparked Iranian threats to strike oil and gas facilities in the Gulf states.

This escalation was quickly reflected in global markets, as the price of Brent crude rose by more than 5%, amid fears of the expanding scope of the confrontation and its impact on global energy supplies, especially with the great importance of the field, which provides more than two-thirds of Iran’s gas production.
