Trump: Putin provided assistance to Iran... and our stockpile of ammunition "unlimited"

US President Donald Trump said on Friday that his Russian counterpart, Vladimir Putin, was likely to have provided assistance to Iran in its conflict with the United States and Israel. At the same time, he stressed that the United States has “unlimited ammunition.”

In an interview with Fox News, when answering a question about Putin’s possible support for Tehran, Trump said: “I think he may have helped them a little, yes, I think so. And he may think that we are also helping Ukraine, right?”

“Yes, we help them. China might say the same thing. It’s like saying they do it and we do it too,” he added.

Over the past few days, news reports said that the US administration discussed with Israel the possibility of sending ground forces to seize stocks of highly enriched uranium located in facilities inside Iran.

When asked about this matter, Trump replied: “No, not at all. We are not focusing on that currently, but we may do so at some point. Right now we are focusing on destroying their missiles and launching them from drones.”

During the same interview, Trump stressed his intention to continue destroying Iranian capabilities in the coming days, noting that military operations are “ahead of schedule,” and adding that the United States will deal Iran “a very strong blow” next week.

He explained that the US army targeted Iranian missile and drone manufacturing sites, noting that 90 percent of Iranian missiles were destroyed.

Trump stated that the American army is “hitting them with force that no one has been exposed to since World War II,” stressing that the United States has “unlimited ammunition,” without specifying a date for the end of Operation “Epic Rage.”

In a separate context, Trump confirmed that the United States is ready to accompany ships in the Strait of Hormuz to protect oil shipments if necessary.
