Company win "CHS" A tender to supply barley to Jordan

European traders reported that the government grain buyer in Jordan had purchased approximately 50,000 tons of barley feed during an international tender held on Wednesday.

This quantity of barley was purchased from the “CHS” commercial company at an estimated price of about $261.25 per ton, and this price includes shipping costs, and it is scheduled to be shipped in the first half of next July.

Reports show evaluations provided by merchants, however, there may be other estimates of prices and quantities later, according to Reuters.

Traders explained that other companies had also participated in today’s tender on Wednesday, and submitted price offers per ton, including shipping and insurance costs. These companies are: Cargill at $273.95, Dreyfus at $273, Bong at $266, Buildcom at $272.27, Ameropa at $272.90, and Olam at $264.64.

Traders also indicated that they received signals indicating that Jordan is expected to announce a new tender to purchase 120,000 tons of barley feed in the coming days, and this tender is expected to close on March 18.

They stated that the new tender is expected to include a request for shipments ranging between 50,000 tons and 60,000 tons during the months of July and August 2026.
