The Israeli media reported a statement by Knesset member Oren Hazan to the i24 channel, stating that the current intensity of rocket firing by Hezbollah may indicate preparations for a broader escalation.
“Hazan” stated: “When I see the scale of the shooting that Hezbollah is carrying out today, I think that it is preparing something much bigger for us later.”
On the other hand, Hezbollah announced a missile attack targeting Israeli settlements adjacent to the Lebanese-Palestinian border, as part of what it described as a response to the Israeli attacks that targeted various Lebanese regions, including the southern suburbs of Beirut.
In a statement issued by the “Islamic Resistance” on Wednesday evening, March 11, 2026, the party announced that its fighters launched a missile attack at 19:40, during which they targeted settlements located within 5 kilometers of the border, areas that the party claimed it had previously warned against evacuating.
The statement explained that the operation came “in response to the Israeli aggression that targeted dozens of Lebanese cities and towns and the southern suburb of Beirut,” pointing out that the attack was part of a series of operations that the party called “the devastating storm.”
According to the statement, Hezbollah fighters fired “dozens of missiles” towards those border settlements, as part of the ongoing military response to Israeli attacks inside Lebanese territory.
