Boeing has concluded a new agreement with Israel worth an estimated $289 million, which includes supplying it with approximately 5,000 air-launched smart bombs, and deliveries are scheduled to begin after 36 months, according to Bloomberg.
Available information indicates that this contract is not related to the ongoing Israeli or American military operations against Iran, while Boeing refused to make any statement on this subject. These bombs are considered a type of guided munition that is distinguished by its ability to hit targets located more than 64 kilometers away.
This agreement falls within a series of ongoing American arms deals with Israel, as the US Department of Defense awarded “Boeing” a contract last year worth $8.6 billion to produce and supply F-15 aircraft. In addition, recent reports indicated an acceleration of the pace of selling thousands of bombs and additional ammunition to Israel.(Al Ain)
