The “Islamic Resistance in Lebanon Hezbollah” announced the thwarting of a new landing attempt by Israeli forces in the Bekaa region, a few days after the operation that took place in the town of Nabi Sheet.
A statement issued by the “Islamic Resistance” stated that the “Israeli enemy” once again attempted to carry out a landing operation in the same area, following the failure of the landing operation it carried out two days ago in the town of Nabi Sheet.
According to the statement, at exactly 00:10 AM on Monday 03/09/2026, resistance fighters noticed the infiltration of about 15 Israeli army helicopters from the Syrian side, as the helicopters flew over the eastern chain, specifically in the airspace of the towns of Jinta, Yahfufa, Nabi Shet, Arsal and Ras Baalbek.
The statement explained that a number of helicopters landed an infantry force in the Serghaya Plain inside Syrian territory, and the progress of this force towards Lebanese territory was monitored.
The statement confirmed that the “Islamic Resistance” fighters confronted the helicopters and the infiltrating force with appropriate weapons, indicating that the confrontation was still continuing at the time of issuing the statement.
This development comes in light of the ongoing military escalation taking place in the Lebanese arena, as the last hours witnessed intense flights of Israeli helicopters over the central Bekaa and the eastern chain, which sparked a state of alert and anxiety in the border villages.
It also comes after an Israeli landing operation carried out by a special force two days ago in the Nabi Sheet area in the Bekaa, which resulted in martyrs and clashes in the area, before the force that carried out the operation withdrew.
This escalation coincides with the continuation of Israeli raids on various areas in southern Lebanon and the Bekaa, in the context of the ongoing confrontation between Israel and Hezbollah, amid fears of the expansion of military operations to wider areas within Lebanese territory.
