Active international discussions: "Aoun" Discusses the latest developments with "Macron" And the king of Spain

The President of the Republic, Joseph Aoun, received a phone call from the Spanish King Felipe VI, where the King affirmed that Spain stands by Lebanon in this difficult stage, and expressed the solidarity of the Spanish people with the Lebanese people.

In turn, President Aoun thanked King Felipe VI for this support, and praised the role played by the Spanish force operating within the UNIFIL forces, its steadfastness in its southern positions and its contribution to enhancing security and stability for the people of the region.

In a similar context, President Aoun made a phone call with French President Emmanuel Macron, as part of the ongoing consultation between them to follow up on the latest developments and efforts made to stop the military escalation.

These contacts come within a series of ongoing communication between Beirut and Paris since the escalation of military tension on the Lebanese front. President Macron had called President Aoun hours ago, during which they discussed the latest field developments and evaluated the ongoing international efforts to calm the situation after the expansion of the scope of the Israeli attacks that targeted areas in the south, the Bekaa, and the southern suburbs of Beirut.

During one of the phone calls, President Aoun also asked the French side to intensify international pressure to stop Israeli attacks and prevent the targeting of civilians, as part of a diplomatic move led by Lebanon in cooperation with a number of friendly countries with the aim of containing the escalation.

France is considered among the main countries involved in international communications related to the situation in Lebanon, given its role in supporting the mission of UNIFIL forces in the south, in addition to its participation in political efforts aimed at establishing a ceasefire and preventing the expansion of the scope of confrontation in the region.
