Apple has opened the door for pre-orders for the latest addition to the iPhone 17 family, as the “iPhone 17e” is now available for purchase after being announced on Monday. Apple will officially launch its latest iPhones on Wednesday, March 11.
What is special about “iPhone 17e”?
“iPhone 17e” features double the storage capacity, faster performance, and MagSafe technology. Compared to the “iPhone 16e”, the new “iPhone 17e” features faster performance thanks to the A19 chip and Apple’s C1X modem, next-generation portrait photography with focus and depth control, three times better scratch resistance thanks to the Ceramic Shield 2 front glass, and support for MagSafe technology with two times faster wireless charging.
The price of the “iPhone 17e” starts at $599 for 256 GB of storage capacity, which is twice the base storage capacity compared to the “iPhone 16e”. Customers who need more local storage space can choose the 512GB model at $799, a $100 decrease from the price of the iPhone 16e, which offers the same storage capacity. “iPhone 17e” is available in three colors: black, white, and the new light pink.
Protect your new iPhone 17e
Apple offers three case options for the iPhone 17e: “Silicone Case with MagSafe ($49),” “Clear Case with MagSafe ($49),” and “Beats Cover with MagSafe ($45).” The “Silicone Case with MagSafe” features holes for attaching an Apple shoulder strap or other strap.
The iPhone 17e now supports MagSafe, and is also compatible with Apple’s FineWoven Wallet. You can enable fast charging using the Apple 20W USB-C Power Adapter to charge 50% of the battery in just 30 minutes. The new “iPhone 17e” phone replaces the “iPhone 16e” phone that Apple introduced a year ago. Apple is still selling the iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus.
