The head of the Syndicate of Kiln Owners in Lebanon, Tony Seif, confirmed in a statement today that “the ovens operate with high efficiency and have a large production capacity that enables them to respond to any emergency or new requirements,” reassuring citizens.
Saif explained that “there is pressure on the bakeries as a result of the state of fear and anxiety among citizens,” but at the same time he stressed that “the bakeries are keeping pace with this increase in demand, and have sufficient production capacity to meet more when needed.”
He also stressed that “there is no need to fear any shortage in bread production, especially in light of the availability of a stock of wheat sufficient for two months.”
Saif revealed the presence of a new ship currently unloading its cargo in the port of Tripoli, in addition to the arrival of other batches of wheat to Lebanon in the coming period, which enhances market stability and ensures the continuation of the production process.
