Google urged Chrome browser users to update immediately, following the discovery of a technical vulnerability that could expose their personal data and devices to potential security risks.
This warning comes as part of ongoing efforts to protect the most popular browser in the world from vulnerabilities and digital exploitation.
This update aims to fix three security vulnerabilities that are classified as extremely dangerous, and include problems related to unauthorized access to memory in different parts of the browser.
The company explained that full technical information about these vulnerabilities will remain limited until it is confirmed that the update has spread widely, in order to reduce the possibility of their exploitation before users are able to install the update on their devices.
A few days before this release, security sources reported that a “Zero-Day” vulnerability had already been exploited by hostile parties.
This vulnerability allows the attacker to execute malicious code on the compromised device through malicious HTML content or fake websites, making old or not updated devices vulnerable to hacking.
This vulnerability will be fixed in modern versions of Chrome, which Google has begun to gradually release for Windows, Mac, and Linux operating systems.
Given the seriousness of these security threats, updating the Chrome browser immediately is not just an option but a necessary security measure, especially if you use the browser in your daily work or to store personal and important information. (Erm News)
