Al-Nasr returns to the top of the Saudi League

Al-Nasr returned to the top of the Saudi Professional League standings, one point ahead of Al-Hilal, in a fierce competition that is expected to continue until the last breath of the season. The question remains about the team’s ability to stay at the top, especially with the pressure of matches and the difficulty of competition in decisive stages.

Al-Nasr had given up the lead in the eleventh round after its 3-2 defeat to Al-Ahly, but it was able to gradually regain its balance and return to the top, benefiting from its positive results and the decline in the performance of its competitors. However, the slight difference with Al Hilal makes any stumble a turning point that may change the course of things.

The team is preparing to face a series of difficult matches, starting with a postponed match with Al-Najma, then Al-Fayhaa, followed by NEOM and Al-Khaleej, before meeting again with Al-Najma, then Al-Akhdood, Al-Ittifaq, Al-Ahly, and Al-Qadisiyah, leading to the decisive confrontation against Al-Hilal, with the season ending with a match against Damak.

Victory depends on its technical stability and the strength of its defense line, in addition to the restoration of the Portuguese Cristiano Ronaldo to his usual level, in addition to the distinguished performance of the Frenchman Coman and “Angelo”, in addition to the strong defensive role provided by Abdel-Ilah Al-Omari, under the leadership of Portuguese coach Jorge Jesus.

However, injuries and the fluctuation in the level of some players, such as Joao Felix, Marcelo Brozovic, and especially Sadio Mane, remain among the main challenges that may affect the team’s stability, making any potential setback capable of changing the course of the competition in the upcoming decisive confrontations.

The question remains outstanding: Will Al-Nasr be able to hold on to the lead until the end of the season, or will the competition in the league take new turns?
