Former Liverpool star, Jamie Carragher, criticized the level of performance shown by Egyptian star Mohamed Salah and his Dutch teammate, Cody Jacobo, during the team’s match with Nottingham Forest on Sunday. He described the victory, which was achieved by Alexis McAllister’s goal in the final minutes, as “one of the biggest thefts” the English Premier League has witnessed this season.
During the match, Liverpool coach Arnie Sloat replaced Salah in the 77th minute, and the Egyptian player appeared smiling as he left the field.
In statements reported by the British newspaper The Telegraph, Carragher said: “The substitute, Rio Ngomoha, performed better in 15 minutes than what Salah and Gakpo did, and he changed the course of the match, and he must be a starter in the upcoming matches.”
He added: “There is no team in the English Premier League that matches Liverpool in scoring winning goals in the last moments.”
