Google has issued a new update to the Gmail application on Android phones, which includes a long-awaited feature by email users. The update makes it possible to create “Labels” directly from within the application, without the need to use the web version or computers. This step is considered a significant improvement to the daily experience of using “Gmail” on smartphones.
Previously, Gmail users on Android devices had to access the web version of the service or use the Gmail app on iOS to create or manage labels, a necessary function for organizing mail and categorizing it into categories like “Work,” “Family,” or “Special Projects.”
However, with the latest update, which has gradually begun to spread, the “Create label” option will appear in the side menu within the application. This allows users to easily enter the name of the new sticker and save it.
When you click on this option, a simple interface appears asking to enter the name of the sticker and then save it, allowing messages to be sorted and categorized according to the user’s needs.
In addition to creating stickers, users can delete or edit stickers from within the app by going to Settings and choosing Manage Stickers, without having to use a computer.
Despite this improvement, there is still an important limitation, as the user cannot change the color of the stickers within the application. This feature is still exclusive to the web version.
Users hope that Google will add this feature in future updates.
This feature is considered an important step towards unifying the Gmail experience on all platforms, as iOS and web users have enjoyed this ability for years, while the Android platform took a long time to receive this basic functionality.
This update reflects Google’s response to users’ long-awaited requirements to improve the capabilities of the Gmail application on smartphones.

And with it finally available on Android, handling mail will become smoother and more efficient.
So far, the update has not appeared for all users, as the feature is gradually distributed and may appear in one “Gmail” account, while it is not available in another account.
The appearance of the feature depends mostly on activation by servers within Google and not only on the application version.
