ByteDance unveils an innovative model for creating videos with artificial intelligence

The Chinese company “ByteDance” announced the launch of its new model, “Sidance 2.0,” for producing video clips using artificial intelligence, which impressed billionaire “Elon Musk” and quickly spread on Chinese social media platforms, where it was compared to the “Deep Sec” model.

This model aims to serve sectors such as professional film production, e-commerce, and advertising. It is distinguished by its ability to deal with text, images, audio, and video simultaneously, which contributes to reducing content production costs. This launch comes as investors inside and outside China seek to find alternatives to the “R1” and “R3” models from “Deep Sec,” which have caused a sensation since the beginning of 2025.

Users on the Chinese Weibo platform showed videos created using the model, featuring well-known characters such as American rapper Ye (formerly known as Kanye West) and reality TV star Kim Kardashian in a drama series set in Imperial China speaking Chinese. These clips generated nearly a million views, while hashtags related to the model received tens of millions of clicks.

Musk commented on the model, saying: “It is happening quickly,” pointing to the remarkable progress in the field of generating video content using artificial intelligence. Experts believe that specialized video models represent the next stage in the development of this technology, after the widespread spread of text models such as “GPT Chat” from “Open AI.”
