"It went as we wanted it to"...Araqchi reveals the course of the talks

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi confirmed that Tehran’s power in diplomatic forums stems from “the people, the armed forces, and the leadership of Iran,” noting that the goal of the negotiations is to protect the rights and interests of the Iranian people.

In the context of an interview with Radio Javan, Araqchi stated that the negotiations were limited to the nuclear file only, stressing that this demand had been achieved, and that the nature, composition, and subject matter of the negotiations “went in the direction of what Iran wanted.”

He also pointed out that the essence of the strength of the Islamic Republic of Iran “lies in the steadfastness and resistance of the people,” stressing that this is sufficient to thwart any hostile plans.

On the other hand, the Secretary of the Iranian Supreme National Security Council, Ali Larijani, met with the Qatari Foreign Minister, Mohammed bin Abdul Rahman Al Thani, in Doha. During the meeting, the latest developments in the nuclear negotiations and the issue of lifting sanctions were discussed, in addition to discussing prospects for enhancing economic cooperation between the two countries, and continuing dialogue and consultation on regional developments.
