The municipality of Al-Habbariyeh, on its behalf, on behalf of its residents, and in solidarity with the people of Arqoub and the south, expressed its strong condemnation of the kidnapping of “Atwi Atwi” from inside his home in the town of Al-Habbariyah, and in front of the eyes of his family members.
The municipality issued a strongly worded statement in which it affirmed that this shameful act, attributed to the “enemy,” represents a dangerous transgression of sovereignty, security and stability, and a blatant assault on the sanctity of homes and the dignity of people, stressing its categorical rejection of this act and not accepting it under any circumstances.
The municipality stressed that these actions will not weaken the residents’ resolve and steadfastness on their land, calling on the responsible authorities to fully carry out their duties and follow up on this dangerous aggressive act in a way that ensures the protection of citizens and the preservation of their dignity. It also affirmed its absolute solidarity and standing by the family of the kidnapped person.
In a related context, the municipality of Kafr Hamam published a statement in which it explained that an Israeli military force had kidnapped “Atwi Atwi” on the night of 2/9/2026 from his home and among his children in the town of Al-Habbariyeh.
The municipality expressed its deep condemnation of this attack, which it described as “blatant on defenseless civilians.”
The municipality of Kafr Hamam called on the Lebanese government and the United Nations Interim Forces in Lebanon (UNIFIL) to work diligently and quickly to return “Atwi” to his family, and stressed the need to provide the full and necessary protection for all citizens in the Arqoub area, in addition to deploying the Lebanese army and UNIFIL forces in all areas, especially in locations from which the enemy may infiltrate.
