An audio recording reveals the fears of Saif al-Islam Gaddafi the day before his death

Activists circulated a recent audio recording attributed to “Saif al-Islam Gaddafi,” revealed by “Ahmed Gaddafi,” his cousin, one day before his death was announced. The recording included an expression of Saif al-Islam’s deep concern regarding the increasing foreign interference in Libyan affairs, and the efforts of some foreign countries to direct the rule of government in the country.

The audio recording showed extreme annoyance with the current political and security situation, as his tone of voice appeared angry as he criticized what he considered to be the dominance of external forces over the course of events and decision-making centers, in a way that ignores the sacrifices, aspirations and interests of the Libyan people.

Meanwhile, the details of the killing of Saif al-Islam Gaddafi are still shrouded in mystery, in light of the lack of clear official data about the incident. The forces loyal to the National Unity Government denied any connection to the incident, while his political team stated that the assassination took place in broad daylight, on Tuesday afternoon, by four masked gunmen who stormed his residence after disabling the surveillance cameras.

This issue continues to raise heated debate in Libyan circles, with mounting calls for a fair and transparent investigation to reveal the identity of the real perpetrators and reveal their motives and backgrounds.
