Kazakhstani player Elena Rybakina achieved a major achievement by winning the Australian Open tennis title, after her exciting victory over the world number one, Belarusian Aryna Sabalenka, in an exciting final match held on the grounds of Rod Laver Arena in Melbourne.
Rybakina, ranked fifth in the world, was able to win this long confrontation with a score of 6-4, 4-6, 6-4, thus achieving her second Grand Slam title, and her first in the Australian Open, which highlights her superior ability to withstand pressure in important matches.
This victory represents compensation for Rybakina, after her loss to Sabalenka in the final of the 2023 edition, where the latter was able to come from behind to achieve victory. But this time, the Kazakh player was able to change the result in her favor and control the decisive set.
By adding the Melbourne title to her record, Rybakina strengthened her position in the world of tennis, after winning the Wimbledon title in 2022, thus confirming that she is one of the most prominent stars of the game in recent years.
On the other hand, “Sabalenka” felt very disappointed in the final of one of the “Grand Slam” tournaments, despite reaching the fourth consecutive final in the Australian Open while she was at the peak of her performance, and she left the court affected by the defeat, after losing her second final in a row in Melbourne, after the 2025 final to the American “Madison Keyes.”
