Amani concludes his visit to Lebanon, stressing Iran's continued support for its sovereignty

The scholar Ali Fadlallah received the Iranian ambassador to Lebanon, Mojtaba Amani, in a farewell meeting on the occasion of the end of his diplomatic work in Lebanon. This meeting was an opportunity to exchange views on the latest developments on the Lebanese and regional arenas.

At the beginning of the meeting, Ambassador Amani expressed his thanks to Fadlallah for the warm reception, and briefed him on the latest developments witnessed by Iran, especially the revelation of spy networks aimed at sabotage, murder, spreading false and misleading news, and destabilizing internal stability.

He stressed that the Iranian people’s rally around its leadership contributed to thwarting these plans, noting that the pressures and blockade imposed on Iran stem from its positions in support of just and righteous causes.

Amani explained that he will carry with him the most beautiful memories of Lebanon and its people, stressing Iran’s keenness to establish good relations with all Lebanese groups, and that it supports Lebanon in defending its rights and sovereignty.

For his part, Fadlallah welcomed Ambassador Amani, expressing his belief in the ability of the Islamic Republic of Iran to overcome difficulties with wisdom and reason, stressing that the campaigns and threats it faces aim to impose conditions that affect its security, sovereignty and independence. He pointed out that the consequences of any “adventure against Iran” would not be limited to it only, but would affect all countries of the region, calling on Arab and Islamic countries to carry out their duties to prevent any “American aggression against Iran,” because its effects would reach them and spread throughout the region.
