A surprising decision from Apple regarding phone pricing "iPhone 18"

In a surprising development, recent reports revealed Apple’s decision to keep the prices of the “iPhone 18” series unchanged, despite the noticeable increases in the costs of phone memory and other components.

According to Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, the company intends to maintain the starting price of the basic “iPhone 18” models at $799 for the basic model, upon its expected launch in late 2026.

In a post on the “X” platform, Kuo pointed out that Apple may face some difficulties in the supply chain as a result of the increasing demand for artificial intelligence components, but it is expected that the company will be able to absorb these costs without the need to raise prices for consumers.

According to what was reported, the basic price of the “iPhone 18” will start at $799, while the prices of the Pro and Pro Max models, which may include the first foldable “iPhone”, are expected to range between $2,000 and $2,500 when launched in the fall of 2026. As for the standard model and the medium “iPhone 18e”, they are likely to be launched in the spring of 2027.

IDC estimates that iPhone shipments in 2025 will reach about 247 million units, an increase of 6% compared to the previous year, driven by strong demand in the Chinese market and growing interest in luxury models.
