Tawfiq Dabboussi, President of the Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture in Tripoli and the North, received, in an introductory and purposeful meeting, the head of the Iraqi Pharmacists Syndicate, Dr. Haider Fouad Al-Sayegh, and the head of the “JAD – Youth Against Drugs” association, “Joseph Hawat,” with his working team, and the journalist, “Mahmoud Al-Nazer.” The meeting focused on enhancing means of communication and exchanging opinions on general issues related to the economy and institutions.
During the meeting, the current situation was discussed, and the need to expand the scope of cooperation between the relevant institutions and bodies in both Lebanon and Iraq was emphasized, with the aim of supporting Arab economic and professional ties, and creating opportunities for partnership and integration between various sectors.
Dabboussi stressed the interest of the Greater Tripoli Chamber in opening up to Arab bodies and unions, and affirming its role as a forum to promote dialogue and fruitful cooperation, in a way that serves economic development and deepens relations between Lebanon and its Arab surroundings.
In turn, Dr. Al-Sayegh expressed his gratitude for the good reception, praising “the role played by the Greater Tripoli Chamber in supporting Arab communication and strengthening relations between institutions,” and stressing the importance of “continuing meetings and coordination in areas of common interest.”
