Silva: I'm tired

Portuguese coach Mario Silva, coach of Al-Najma team, expressed his deep dissatisfaction with the continued disappointing results achieved by the team in the Saudi Professional League, following the recent defeat against Al-Qadisiyah.

Silva stated in the press conference, saying: “Al-Qadisiyah is better than us in terms of standings and players, and with the elements available to us it was difficult to compete, but we presented a good level and shot ten times at the opponent’s goal, and the result in the end was deserved.”

Regarding the exclusion of Khaled Al-Subaie, Silva explained to Asharq Al-Awsat: “He was supposed to start the match, but before the warm-up they told us that the association had not registered him. This is a difficult situation that affected the players and the coach, and I do not know who is responsible.”

He continued: “Nawaf Hawsawi played in Al-Subaie’s place and received a card and the performance was not good, so I replaced him. We also had to move defensive players to unfamiliar positions. Abdul-Ilah Al-Shammari played at full-back, and Abdul-Aziz Al-Harabi played in defense. “The situation is difficult, and frankly, I am tired.”
