Nissan Middle East announced the launch of a premium “Klipsch” audio system for Patrol cars in the region, in specific categories including “Patrol V6T Platinum,” “Patrol PRO-4X,” and “Patrol Nismo,” according to a press release issued.

According to the statement, the “Klipsch” system consists of 12 speakers designed specifically for the Patrol, with the aim of providing excellent sound distribution inside the cabin for all passengers, whether in the front or rear seats, while driving in the city or on off-road roads.

System components and capabilities

Nissan explained that the system was developed in cooperation with Panasonic Automotive, and relies on a 12-channel amplifier with a power of 600 watts. She added that the design of the system aims to achieve a balance in sound distribution within the spacious cabin of the Patrol.

The company indicated that Klipsch and Panasonic engineers tuned the system to provide a wide range of audio frequencies, from high to low tones. The system includes one-inch titanium tweeters, mid-range amplifiers and a dedicated subwoofer.

In-cabin acoustic calibration

The system includes “advanced audio calibration” that adjusts sound balance in real-time according to ambient conditions, to maintain consistent clarity and depth during use, the statement said.

What changes in the cabin experience?

Nissan has linked the introduction of the new audio system to other improvements in the Patrol’s cabin, such as leather seats supported by spinal support technology inspired by NASA research, and a panoramic roof that enhances the feeling of spaciousness. It was also noted that there was a unified central screen measuring 28.6 inches, two front touch screens measuring 14.3 inches each, in addition to two rear entertainment screens measuring 12.8 inches each.

Thierry Sabbagh, divisional vice president and president of Nissan and Infiniti in the Middle East, Saudi Arabia, CIS countries and India, said: “For decades, the Nissan Patrol has embodied the meanings of power, luxury and pride. With each new generation of Patrol, we seek to find ways to enhance the driving experience inside the cabin without compromising on what drivers and passengers expect from efficient performance, comfort and control. The launch of the Klipsch premium sound system embodies this trend, as it adds a new level of clarity and integration with the surroundings of the Patrol cabin, making sound an element An essential addition to the pleasure of driving the Nissan Patrol.”

Engines and capacities

The release noted that the Patrol comes with two V6 engine options, including an all-new 3.5-liter V6 with a twin-turbocharger, mated to a 9-speed automatic transmission.

Communication and digital services

Nissan explained that the Patrol includes the second version of the NissanConnect system linked to the Google browser, allowing access to navigation services, entertainment options, and voice assistant via the unified center screen. She added that the updated MyNissan application includes the all-new “ownership” feature, which the company says is being introduced for the first time in the Middle East to facilitate daily interactions and allow remote monitoring of the car.
