Daher reveals his position on the budget

Representative Michel Daher announced his refusal to vote on the draft general budget, citing “a firm position that categorically rejects any bargaining at the expense of the safety of the people of the Bekaa.”

Daher wrote through his account on the “X” platform, confirming his commitment to the equation he had previously announced, which stipulates: “Either including the necessary funding for the Dahr al-Baydar Road and the completion of the Arab Highway in the budget, or not voting to approve it.”

He explained that the responsible authorities “have not yet shown any serious will to address this issue,” which is what made him clearly announce his position by refusing to vote in favor of the budget.

At the conclusion of his speech, Daher held the concerned authorities “full political and popular responsibility for any repercussions that may result from continued negligence and inaction.”
