The leagues also directed an appeal to all professors and teachers to adhere to the following movements:
Tuesday, January 27, 2026: A comprehensive strike in the morning and evening shifts, accompanied by a large demonstration at 11:00 AM, with the gathering point in “Bechara El Khoury Square” and moving towards the “Parliament.”
Wednesday, January 28, 2026, and Thursday, January 29, 2026: A general strike in the morning and evening shifts, with the organization of a sit-in, the location of which will be determined later.
The leagues affirmed that these activities come in the context of defending legal rights and preserving the dignity of professors and teachers, and rejecting any delay or procrastination in implementing the demands, demanding that “the authority” bear its responsibilities to avoid pushing the education sector towards an “open-ended strike.”
