الدفاع المدني يصدر بياناً حول تداعيات انهيار مبنى القبة!

The General Directorate of Civil Defense reported the collapse of a five-story residential building in the Qobba area on Al-Jadeed Street in Tripoli, around three in the morning. This collapse resulted in a number of citizens being trapped under the rubble.

In a statement issued by the Department of Information and Public Relations, the Directorate stated that civil defense teams immediately moved and began search and rescue operations, in addition to surveying the area surrounding the accident site. The teams succeeded in rescuing a child who was transferred to the hospital, where doctors reported that her condition was stable.

The Directorate confirmed that the search is ongoing to find the rest of the family members who are still trapped under the rubble, and that work is underway to retrieve them.

The “General Directorate of Civil Defense” also stressed the importance of evacuating the collapse site and keeping citizens away from it, in order to enable civil defense personnel to carry out their tasks to the fullest, and to use specialized equipment to locate those detained under the rubble and speed up rescue operations.
