In a match characterized by competitiveness and excitement, Barcelona achieved a difficult victory over their Czech host, Slavia Prague, with a score of 4-2, in the seventh and penultimate round of the group stage of the Champions League.
The match witnessed a remarkable performance by Fermín López, who scored a “brace”, in addition to Dani Olmo and Robert Lewandowski scoring other goals in the 34th, 42nd, 63rd and 70th minutes respectively for the Catalan team.
In contrast, the home side managed to score two goals, the first through Vasil Kušej and the other an own goal by Lewandowski by mistake in his own net in the 10th and 44th minutes.
With this victory, Barcelona strengthened their tally to 13 points, boosting their chances of direct qualification to the round of 16, as they currently occupy ninth place, on goal difference from Chelsea, Newcastle and reigning champions Paris Saint-Germain.
In contrast, Slavia Prague’s score froze at only 3 points, collected from 3 draws, remaining in 34th place out of 36 teams participating in the tournament.
