
The World Economic Forum published a study entitled “A New Era of Digital Health: Abu Dhabi’s Leap Towards Health Intelligence,” which highlighted the pioneering role of the emirate in building an advanced health infrastructure based on prevention and innovation, prior to the meetings of the 56th session of the Forum in “Davos.”

The study presented important data about the healthcare system in Abu Dhabi, including:
- Linking 3.5 billion medical records across more than 3,000 health institutions.
- Analyzing 2 billion insurance transactions using artificial intelligence to improve performance and reduce costs.
- Analyzing more than 850,000 genomes within the Emirati Genome Program, making the emirate at the forefront of personalized medicine programs worldwide.

This trend has led to significant medical developments, most notably:
- Early Detection: Developing methods for personal prevention of cancer.
- Rapid Response: Reducing the response time to heart attacks by 30%, exceeding global rates.
- Integration: Collecting genetic, medical, and environmental data in one system to predict health risks.

Mansoor Al Mansoori, Chairman of the Department of Health – Abu Dhabi, affirmed that true innovation lies in transforming smart technologies into the foundation of the infrastructure that serves the population. Brad Smith, President of “Microsoft,” pointed out that Abu Dhabi’s experience works to empower doctors and decision-makers through artificial intelligence. Meanwhile, Shyam Bishen (World Economic Forum) described Abu Dhabi’s story as a “humanitarian model” to be emulated globally for developing health systems.
This study, prepared in cooperation with “Microsoft,” “M42,” and “Cleveland Clinic,” is a reference for governments seeking to transition from traditional care to digital prevention models, in conjunction with the participation of a high-level Emirati delegation comprising more than 100 officials in Davos.
