With the increasing use of AI-powered chatbots by companies, a survey conducted by “Randstad” and published on Tuesday showed that four out of five employees believe that AI will change the nature of their daily work, with greater concerns among “Generation Z.”
Randstad explained in its annual report that the number of jobs requiring “AI agent” skills has increased by 1587 percent, and the survey results indicate that AI and automation are increasingly replacing less complex tasks and roles.
The survey included 27,000 employees and 1,225 employers, in addition to analyzing more than three million job advertisements in 35 markets.
Labor markets are facing significant pressure as companies around the world accelerate the pace of job cuts, in addition to declining consumer confidence, following the negative impact of the “tariff war led by US President Donald Trump and his sharp moves in foreign policy.”
Technology companies specializing in artificial intelligence have begun to replace some jobs with automation, while most companies are still waiting to realize tangible gains from massive investments in artificial intelligence, which are expected to bring about significant changes in the business world in the coming years.
The results of the “Randstad” survey revealed that about half of the employees surveyed fear that companies will benefit more from this new technology than the workforce. (Sky News)
