Moroccan national team leaders refuse to forgive Real Madrid player.

Moroccan star, Brahim Diaz, apologized to his teammates in the national team known as the “Atlas Lions” after missing the decisive penalty kick in the African Cup of Nations final against Senegal.

The Moroccan website “Al البطولة” mentioned that Diaz apologized to all the players in the dressing room, then burst into tears.

The website added that the leaders of the “Atlas Lions” feel great resentment at the Real Madrid star’s decision to take the penalty kick, and that they have not forgiven him for this matter so far.

It reported that a state of shock prevails among the team, and that the players are in a state of confusion after losing the final match.

It is worth mentioning that the Congolese referee “Jean-Jacques Ndala” awarded a penalty kick to the Moroccan national team in the last minute of stoppage time against Senegal, after referring to video technology to review the play himself.

This decision sparked strong objections from the players and coaching staff of the Senegalese national team led by “Pape Thiaw”, who called on his players to withdraw from the match in protest against the decision.

The match was stopped for several minutes after the “Lions of Teranga” players actually left the field, but “Sadio Mane” urged the players to return and resume playing.

After the match resumed, Diaz stepped up to take the penalty, but he shot it with a weak shot in the middle of the goal in the “Panenka” style, which made it easy for the Senegalese goalkeeper “Edouard Mendy” to catch it easily.
