تساؤلات حول إمكانية تأجيل الانتخابات البرلمانية

As the parliamentary elections approach, a major constitutional and political crisis looms, mainly due to the executive authority’s reluctance to fulfill its duties. It seems that Judge “Nawaf Salam’s” government is dealing with this issue with procrastination and delay, which puts the country at real risk: the cancellation of the elections.

The situation is further complicated by the ongoing dispute over how expatriates and the sixteenth district will vote, with no final decision on how to run, vote, or distribute seats. This turns this file into a major problem that threatens the elections themselves.

With the deadline approaching, the question remains: Will the “Nawaf Salam” government take responsibility and implement the current law on time? Or will we witness a familiar scenario: disruption then justification, postponement then settlement, and Lebanon once again pays the price for a state that does not abide by its laws?
