The head of the “Free Patriotic Movement,” MP Gebran Bassil, met with Prince Yazeed bin Farhan in a lengthy and private meeting. The meeting included a comprehensive review of ongoing regional developments, the challenges and events in the region, and their impact on the overall situation and stability.
The two sides also discussed in depth the situation in Lebanon, emphasizing the need to preserve the country’s stability and national unity, and to build the state on the foundations of independence and full sovereignty. Emphasis was placed on the fact that the sovereign decision must remain exclusively in the hands of the state and its constitutional and legitimate institutions, headed by the “Lebanese Army.”
The meeting was positive, and an agreement was reached on the visions regarding the various issues and topics that were discussed.
