The Senegalese Federation accuses the Organizing Committee of disrupting security and equal opportunities
Just two days before the African Cup of Nations final to be held in Morocco, scheduled for Sunday evening, January 18, 2026, between the Moroccan and Senegalese national teams, the Senegalese Football Federation published a strongly worded official statement, claiming that there was a “series of organizational and security flaws that accompanied the preparations for the final match,” warning of “prejudice to the principles of justice and equal opportunities” in the summit of the tournament competitions.
In its statement, the Senegalese Federation indicated that it is addressing its speech to “the national and international public, the African Football Confederation (CAF), and the local organizing committee, out of a desire for transparency and defense of the interests of the national team.”
