Liverpool clarifies its position on winter signings and Salah’s future
Liverpool Football Club has settled the controversy surrounding the future of its Egyptian star, Mohamed Salah, in addition to determining its final position on entering the winter transfer period to sign new players.
It is noteworthy that the relationship between “Salah” and his coach “Arne Slot” witnessed some tensions before the Egyptian star traveled to participate in the African Cup of Nations.
Moreover, Liverpool received a severe blow after confirming the absence of its young defender, “Conor Bradley,” from the field until the end of the current season, as a result of a knee injury he sustained during the recent Arsenal match.
The British newspaper “The Athletic” stated that speculation arose about the possibility of Liverpool resorting to the transfer market to support the right-back position, similar to what happened after the injury of “Giovanni Leone” in the heart of the defense and “Alexander Isak” in the attack line.
However, the “Reds” administration does not intend to contract replacements for “Leone” or “Isak” during the current transfer period, which is the same approach that will be followed in the case of “Bradley.”
The same applies to the situation of “Mohamed Salah,” who, despite the ambiguity surrounding his future recently, will complete the current season at Anfield.
Liverpool hopes that “Salah’s” situation will stabilize and return to its former glory, and that he will continue to wear the Reds shirt until the end of his contract in June 2027.
However, if the differences between the player and the coaching staff continue, it is possible to open negotiations on terminating the contract early next summer.
