
The General Directorate of Civil Defense announced that its personnel carried out 76 rescue and first aid missions in various Lebanese regions during the past 24 hours.
The directorate mentioned that these missions included extinguishing 14 fires, varying between “vehicle fires (5)”, “establishments (2)”, “houses (1)”, in addition to “fires caused by electricity (6)”.
Civil Defense personnel also carried out 19 rescue missions that included assisting “cars stuck in the snow (2)”, “cars submerged in floods (6)”, “opening roads due to soil erosion (4)”, and “pumping water from warehouses and establishments (3)”, as well as “opening roads blocked due to snow accumulation (4)”.
Regarding first aid missions, the Civil Defense recorded 37 missions, including “emergency cases (16)”, “traffic accidents (4)”, “transporting patients (16)”, in addition to “transporting one body (1)”.
In addition, the teams carried out 6 missions within the framework of public services.
