MP “Wael Abu Faour” visited the industrial zone in Dahr El Ahmar, and held a meeting at the “Plasti Rama” factory with factory owners. The meeting was attended by municipal, party, and religious figures, in addition to a number of industrialists from the Rashaya district.
During the meeting, the industrialists reviewed the current situation of the industrial zone, stressing the need to develop the infrastructure to meet the needs of industrial expansion and achieve modern work standards, in line with the economic and environmental goals of the region.
“Abu Faour” explained that the aim of this visit is to start practical procedures to transform the industrial zone into an integrated industrial city, capable of attracting new investments and providing significant job opportunities, especially in light industries that do not pollute the environment or pose a danger to the population.
He also pointed out that the Rashaya district enjoys diverse economic capabilities, including agriculture, tourism, and government jobs, but industry can be a major engine for development if it is supported by a comprehensive plan that includes municipalities, the union of municipalities, and industrialists.
He stressed the importance of developing infrastructure, such as electricity, water, roads, sanitation, and water treatment plants, reminding that industrial city projects that were previously proposed have been halted due to the economic crisis.
At the end of the meeting, it was agreed to take practical steps to develop the industrial zone, with “Abu Faour” following up on this matter with the relevant government agencies to improve services and meet the requirements of industrial expansion.
