Hajjar inspects the Traffic Management Department and affirms working on resolving challenges.

This afternoon, the Minister of Interior and Municipalities, “Ahmad Al-Hajjar,” made an inspection visit to the building of the Traffic Management and Vehicle Mechanism Authority and the Traffic Control Room on the Corniche Al-Nahr. He was accompanied on the tour by the Director-General and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Authority, the Governor of Beirut, Judge “Marwan Abboud,” and the Head of the Vehicle and Mechanism Registration Department, Brigadier General “Nazih Qubrusi.”

During the visit, Minister “Al-Hajjar” inspected the extent of the damage and problems hindering the progress of work inside the building. He also listened to a detailed presentation on the current difficulties and proposed solutions, especially concerning the infrastructure and systems used.

This tour comes within a series of efforts aimed at developing an integrated plan to restore the building, in addition to developing and modernizing the traffic control room, with the aim of improving traffic management and raising the level of road safety throughout Lebanon.
