The match between Real Madrid and Atlético Madrid in the Spanish Super Cup semi-final, on Thursday evening, witnessed repeated clashes between Real Madrid star “Vinicius Júnior” and Atlético Madrid coach “Diego Simeone”.
The Spanish newspaper (AS) revealed the details of what happened in the “Al-Enmaa” stadium in Jeddah, explaining that the first spark ignited between the two parties during the first half.
The newspaper published a video clip showing a verbal altercation between “Vinicius” and “Simeone” near the touchline during one of Real Madrid’s attacks.
For its part, the “Movistar” channel analyzed the lip language and concluded that “Simeone” said to “Vinicius”: “Florentino Pérez will kick you out, remember he will kick you out, he will kick you out, remember what I tell you.”
These statements coincided with news about the difficulties in negotiating the renewal of “Vinicius Júnior’s” contract with Real Madrid, which is scheduled to end in the summer of 2027, in addition to rumors about the possibility of his transfer to the Saudi Roshan League.
The newspaper “AS” stated that the altercation was repeated in the 80th minute, when “Vinicius” was replaced by “Arda Güler”, as the fans greeted him with boos as he left the field.
At that point, “Simeone” said to the Real Madrid star: “Listen, listen,” in reference to the fans’ dissatisfaction with his performance.
“Vini” responded angrily to the Argentine coach, which prompted members of both teams to intervene to separate them and prevent the matter from escalating.
It is worth mentioning that Real Madrid won against Atlético with a score of 2-1, and qualified to meet Barcelona in the final match next Sunday, which will be shown through the Thamanya application, the exclusive carrier of the Saudi Roshan League.
